a loving second home
I offer dog parents, whose dog is their everything, a dog daycare paradise. In my care you can be hundred percent sure that your fur baby will get the attention and love he or she is used to at home. There will be suitable playmates, and the day will be filled with adventures, training, mental stimulation, cuddle and relax time in a perfect mix.
If your character is a little bit like mine leaving your dog alone at home a whole day is out of the question. So is a daycare where the dogs are locked up in cages. A dog walker is not an option either; the idea that your dog is alone long periods before and after the walk does not feel so good. You would prefer to take your dog with you wherever you go, but sometimes duty calls and it is simply impossible. If this is you and you live in Utrecht and surroundings my unique small scale Zensitive Dog Daycare concept could be the right solution for you and your dog.
Zensitive Dog Daycare is like no other dog daycare. I open my heart and my home for your dog, making him/her part of my day and my own pack. Your dog will be around me the whole day, there will be play time, mental stimulation, natural training, rest, lots of attention and cuddles, and we will take two fun, nice walks daily all together.
Welcome to find out more about what a day at Zensitive Dog Daycare could look like for your fur baby. Or come by to visit us to check it out!
Elisabeth, founder Zensitive Dog Daycare & Zensitive Puppy Training
Zensitive Dog Daycare is situated in our big house in Langerak (Leidsche Rijn) in west Utrecht, where I live together with my husband Bart. We have a big backyard with a lawn, and the area around our house is green and dog friendly. The daycare dogs become part of our family and our own pack. The dogs are allowed everywhere in our house and will be with one of us all day, in the kitchen as well as in the living room where there will be a cozy dog cushion for everyone. When it is time to sleep I bring the dogs to our dedicated daycare room, where I stay with them and help them to find relaxation and rest.
I often hear from dog parents that their dog gets back totally exhausted in the evening after a day at a regular daycare. It is my ambition to create a daycare schedule that is well balanced when it comes to physical activities, mental stimulation and rest. Most dogs easily get over excited by too much activity which can lead to them expressing unwanted behavior. Simply because they are on overdrive. During the dedicated rest time I play calming music and give the dogs relaxing massage. Learning to relax in the presence of other dogs is a great practice, especially for young dogs that have an enthusiastic character. This will have a positive effect on the dog in general.
The dog daycare welcomes a maximum of 5 small and medium sized bitches and castrated males, from the age of 8 months. Before we decide to take on a new dog we would like to meet with you to introduce the dog to the rest of the pack to find out if the dogs like each other. Dogs, just like humans, do not always get along perfectly, and we put much attention to creating a pack where the dogs feel comfortable and safe together. The sizes of the dogs also need to be well tuned, in order to minimize the risk of injuries during play.
We are such a small-scale dog daycare that we
are able to pay attention to the special needs of each dog. If your dog is less
interested in playing, we will protect him/her and make sure the other dogs are
not too pushy. If your fur baby is shy, we will protect and support her/him in learning
to trust other dogs and spend more time with her alone as well. Our small and
professional daycare is a great place for socialization for dogs that are not
used to spending time with other dogs. Because I am a professional dog trainer
I can easily read dogs’ body language and communicate with them in a way they
understand. At our daycare each dog will be cared for and loved. You will also daily receive photos and videos from our adventures outside and our time together inside the daycare.
I offer individual professional training for your dog during its day here when you are on a Plus or Gold package. I will spend 3x10 minutes on individual training per dog and can focus on almost any behaviour that is needed for a well functioning daily life with your dog. Or I can just teach your dog some fun tricks for you to use to have fun and connect with your dog at home. I work exclusively with positive reward-oriented training methods. If you want I can clicker train your dog! Read more about this on my training webpage.

I am a Swedish dog lover and entrepreneur and I have lived in Utrecht since 2010. I got my first dog, a Barbet (French Waterdog) in 2007, a step that has had a huge impact on my life. I am also a small scale breeder and author of the prize winning book "The Barbet Revealed". Over the past years I have made my passion for dogs my work, so that all that I do flows from my heart, and there is no big difference between private and professional life. Right now I have two barbets: Moët, who is an 11-year old and quite shy dog, and Luomi, our playful and funny little baby that just turned 1 year. Together we will welcome your dog into our beautiful life here in Utrecht.

When dealing with dogs, Elisabeth is calm and respectful. From her intuitive approach she gives dogs the space to show vulnerable sides and to feel and give trust. This makes it very feasible for the dog to develop a stable behavioral pattern from its own balance.
